As this year ends, I have to reflect on what a great year this has been for me in advancing my photography goals. Met a lot of great people (clients, models, and fellow photographers), made some new friends, opened my studio, had some great photo-shoots, and sold some works from the gallery exhibition. As important as any of these things was the continuous learning associated with all aspects of this photographic pursuit. Composition, color and light management, production, design, logistics, budget control, and people skills. Steep learning curve on some aspects, but endless learning in all.
I also want to extend my heart-felt thanks to everyone who has visited my websites and especially to those who took time to respond in some way either by “likes” or by leaving a remark (pro or con) on the images. I also want to extend those same thanks to those who visited the Seaside Gallery and so honored me by taking some of my artwork home, and as well to those who made orders from the Digital Desert Photo.com website. It’s very fulfilling to know the images find such merit in the eyes of others.
The coming year will bring more learning, more adventures, and hopefully be at least as enjoyable and productive as the passing year has been.
Happy New Year everyone, may your hopes and dreams become realities.
